What's going on?
Sorry to all the regular patrons of my blog! I haven't been keeping you up to date with what's been going on lately in the Unit.
Since most of the Unit members are going to be participants of the Jamboree (July 2007) they will have to participate in some fundraising activities to subsidise the trip. One of these activities involved passing around flyers and another involved the selling of lottery tickets - this is currently underway. Goodluck guys! Try sell all your tickets!
Also as part of the preparation for the Jamboree we're organising some inter-section joined activities with the other Jambo Participants from the Troop. The first of these activities was an evening of bowling which took place last Sunday night. We should have some photos of these up soon!
After the bowling we headed out for an SVS NOS. Which was well needed and served as the End of Summer NOS since the day after most of the boys started school!
Now that they're at sixth form it means the boys will have to get back into the books and work hard but it doesn't mean that SVS is going on hiatus! Upcoming activities include a football tournament, against other Venture Units, which is going to take place next Saturday and which we are training hard for! Also we have an Expedition on Foot planned for two weeks time... more to come on this.
This weekend I went on an Expedition myself with the VSL- we went to climb a little volcano on Sicily.
