M-Coy Gradex
The last two days of Summer Camp were dedicated to the M-Coy GRADEX. This Graduation Exercise is used to put all the recruits' basic training to the test. The first part of the Gradex is a set of written tests one for Navigation, First Aid, Estimation and Ranging, Scouting History and Pioneering.

The Recruits were then taken to another top-secret location where they had time to build bivvies, cook a meal and go to sleep, for a little while.
After their little rest the Recruits had to begin the Night Navigation Exercise

Corrieri using his mobile as a torch, trying to find his location
After the Night Nav, the members who survived, had one final test, a Medevac (Medical Evacuation). This year the M-Coy were very lucky because we had alot of cool props to use!
VS Meli in a smoke filled room!!

The RVSs had to use the correct technique of evacuating a casualty from a REAL smoke filled room

The RVSs had to use flares to mark the location for the Ambulance;

Shaking my hand
As an act of solidarity the M-Coy shared a group hug.
Then we all went home to wash and sleep.
I hope it was worth the wait!
Next post will be on an Abseil which was held on Saturday at Mistra.
