-=- SVS Challenge 2006 -=-
SVS Challenge is happening this evening through tomorrow morning. It's a Challenge between the Venture Scouts and the two teams are James & Peter against ian and Simon .
The basis of this activity is that each team will have to attempt various challenges and the one with the most points at the end will win the SVS Challenge shield. The Teams may choose to skip certain challenges but sometimes one challenge leads to another so missing one involves missing two. Also the winning team has to complete the Activity (i.e. Arrive at a certain finish point). If no team arrives at this point then chances are the trophy may not be awarded! The Challenge usually happens in December that's why this SVS Challenge is the 2006 one.
This year it's guna be an overnight activity and the guys have been told to prepare for Backwoods Cooking, Bivvy building, Navigation, First/SAR/Medevac & the unexpected. This is not a conventional challenge and the guys are gunna have to use their Basic Skills along with a lot of creativity, common sense, lateral thinking and guts to win this one.
Another regulation for this particular challenge is that their kits must weigh less than 5kg.
We have an interesting 15 or so hours ahead of us.
Let the games begin!
