Fundraising Carboot Sale

Hi all, it's me, Mo$es!
Last Sunday the Unit along with the Stag Patrol & ASL Timmy took loads of stuff to the Razzett tal- Hbieberija to take part in a Carboot Sale to raise funds for the Unit. We sold everything we had and made loads and loads of cash.

Customers flocking around the Unit's area trying to get their hands on the goods

I made a very good friend at the car boot sale, he was big, squishy and yellow and his name was pikachu. After spending a morning together he got taken away because some guy bought him for about 25c!!!

Tomorrow morning the ISTs fly out to the Jamboree while therest of us go up on Friday...will keep you informed.

Our next activity is going to be held on Saturday 21st and is to be a sequel to the 1999 Battle of the Warlords but the theme is based on Pirates! Opn Barbarossa coming soon

The Chief Scout had a few words to say to the President about Scouting's Centenary & the Jamboree & Kanderjam. The President knew all too well about our activities and had a few words to say about the experience we are about to embark on.

Jamboree Participants Camp

6th-9th July
Ghajn Tuffieha

On the 27th of July I'll be heading to the UK for the 21st World Scout Jamboree. Some people from the Sliema Group and other Scout Groups in Malta (namely Victoria, B'Bugia, Tarxien, SAC, & Hamrun) will be coming along with me for the ride. The contingent leaders felt that it would be best if we have a little camp for them to get to know me better, since my fierce appearance worried them abit but I feel after the fabulous camp we had last weekend they all understand I'm pretty much an all round nice guy.
That's me with George, one of the Sliema Scouts coming to the Jamboree

Some of the Scouts pitching a ridge tent
Julian, a Scout, holding a scroll of toilet paper during one of the great ice breaking games which involved everyone taking as many pieces of toilet paper as they wished and then telling everyone else something about themself for each square. Julian had a lot to say it seems!

The moon over ghajn tuffieha. The famous photo that the VSL took and kept the whole contingent up with the camera's flash! it didn't even come particularly clear but you can see why he wanted to capture the photographic opportunity. Maybe next time Debono!

Tomorrow the Jamboree contingent are off to meet the President!
