Let's Celebrate!!! LuLu's B'day!

Thursday 23rd was the VSL's Birthday so we met for a suprise party at TGI. Apart from the Unit members that came some leaders of the Scout Group and friends of Ellul were also present.

It was a very fun night and we even found an official Mo$es card to give him.
We didn't get a cake because the candles would have caused the smoke detectors to go off tihihihihihi

We ate loads and Gerada managed to spill a whole pint of kinnie on himself and others.
Afterwards some of us went out to have a few drinks and celebrate in style.

SVS NOS EPISODE 3 --- OP C.H.P.S.T.K.

Hi Guys! Saturday night we had the long awaited EPISODE 3 of our series of SVS NOS.
This time we met at Ian's house and ate loads of Chinese Take Away... there was only one rule = everyone has to eat with chopsticks.

Our Menu was;
- a whole Chinese Duck with sweet and sour sauce
-chikin satay
-beef with ginjer and onions
-sweat and sower pork
-chikin nudles and beef nooodles

not suprisingly all was eaten.
We got the food from Debono's Uncles Chinese place (CHINA TOWN LOL!!) in Mriehel.




We all had to listen through an entertaining story told by the master of the art of story telling (Corrieri!)... a day has passed and i'm still not sure what on earth he was on about..true Corrieri Fashion eh?!


After the eating we spent an hour arguing bout what movie to watch but in the end we watched a bit of Family Guy followed by everyone's favourite movie... Pulp Fiction ;P


Alot of fun was had by all as you can probably tell from the photos and the general fact that everyone always has fun when it comes to FUN Unit Activities.... and all Unit Activities are fun.

The next Unit Activity is guna be another Social Activity since all the Ventures and Recruits are hard at work studying for their Exams. The Activity will probably be part bowling and part socialising. Everyone is looking forward!!!!

B-I-N-G-O and BINGO's what we played oh!

Last Friday night saw another well organised event by the Council. The Pasta & Bingo Night, held at HQ, was a fundraising Activity and there was quite a good turn out in fact!
A good group of Ventures was there to show their support, eat and Bingo-ify.
The following is an account of the activity by Munir Faitury, edited to remove the spelling and grammatical errors and so that the piece actually makes sense as a whole :P

People started arriving at HQ at around 20:00, after which everyone found their table, SVS had a table reserved (Mo$es included of course). At about 21:00, people started to collect their platters of assorted pasta. After its consumation and some socialising, some extreme and intense rounds of Bingo began, with Alan cracking some jokes as he announced the numbers drawn. Needless to say, there were some victors, but none of them from the unit


The Unit will be meeting this Saturday night for a Social Activity (SVS NOS EPISODE 3) which is to be bigger and better than the previous ones held in February. The Social Activities usually involve something different to begin with everytime (Bowling in Episode 1 and Pizza in Episode 2) then the Unit goes out to Paceville for an exciting night out.

Hi Everyone,

If you haven't already heard, I'm sure you'll be proud to hear, that our very own VSL & AVSL (Andrew and Anthony), did really well in the BMW Half Marathon.
They placed 358 & 359 out of the total 553 that completed the race (many did not finish it!).
They finished the 13.1 mile route in 1hr56mins35secs! This quite an acheivment since their estimated time of arrival was 2hrs15mins!
Ellul and Debono had been training since December and this was the first time they took part in such an event.

Debono had this to say about the Marathon:
"It was great fun and a really enjoyable experience. I think we should do a run like this as a Unit one day because it really is a lot of fun and running on a regular basis makes one feel alot beter in everyday life, it's good to be fit! Especially in Ventures! We ran the length of a Day Nav in 1hr56mins"

In other news, the Unit is meeting every couple of weeks at HQ to plan rennovations that are to be made to the Unit Room in Summer, the members are hard at work studying for their O-Levels and A-Levels, and everyone looks forward to the few social activities that are left until Summer (check out SVS NOS!).

I myself have been given the task of preparing the activities and Training scheme for Summer and have been travelling and doing loads of research for our recruits. Summer is guna be overloaded with fun activities SVS-Style.
