LAN & INTERNATIONAL FOOD NIGHT

27th-28th April

Hi Everybody,
Last night we had a computer LAN night with a twist! Apart form playing all our favourite games (CODII, RA2, NEED FOR SPEED, etc etc...) we also tried an interesting experiment for dinner. We cooked foods from distant countries which some of us had never tried before! Everything was delicious and we all ended up stuffed. We cooked East-African grilled cube roll with fancy spices, Japanese Tuna Sushi & Thai Pork with peanut sauce.

We then spent the whole night battling it out on our PCs.

Our next activity is Annual Parade on 6th of May, so we're preparing our uniforms and rehearsing our marching.

EASTER CAMP 2007

The first Sliema Group Camp in a very long time saw the Cubs, Scouts and Ventures camping together over Easter Week!
There was a very good atmosphere and the smell of Scouting was in the air. The Unit activities included, Pioneering, Climbing, Abseiling, Exploring, Backwoods Cooking, our traditional Good Friday Reflections, Night Games, etc etc.
We also participated in the fun Group Activities that were organised including the morning at the beach with team builing games, playing with the Pack's parachute, Night Games with the Troop, PT with the Cubs, Mass and an exciting Group Campfire.

We went out for a climb one the third day of camp and there were a couple of peculiar incidents. The first was the spotting of the wierd rock ...

...second was the arrival of the Redbullmobil. We drank redbull but it didn't give us wings...that would have made the climb a bit boring!
